In order to participate in KCA sports, Parents must agree to follow and uphold the following:
TENANTS & AGREEMENTS:
DISCIPLESHIP
Athletes will agree to participate in 10 minute discipleship lessons before or after each gathering, engaging and being respectful to listen and not disrupt during this time.
ACADEMICS
Athletes will prioritize academics in their life and maintain a C average in any course they are currently studying.
ATTITUDE
Athletes agree to be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. Encouragement and Christ-like attitudes will be expected during the outcome of any competition. Athletes agree to have a coachable attitude and listen and follow directions from their coaches.
HONESTY
Athletes agree to participate with honor and integrity, choosing the righteous way instead of the easy or dishonest way in every game, every play and every communication.
BEHAVIOR
At KCA we will behave above board at all times during plays, discussions, call challenges or other situations always honoring the referee or umpire that has been placed in authority over our competitions.
PRACTICE
Players agree to pursue home time practicing and sharpening their skills apart from practices and games and being dedicated to excelling their abilities through practice of taught skills. Athletes agree to make ALL KCA practices unless an emergency or sickness arises.
CONDUCT
Coaches, players, and parents agree to conduct themselves at all times with the grace, humility, and high character befitting of Christ and an excellence driven program.
DISPUTES
Players and parents agree to bring all disputes to their coaches within 24 hours of the incident or situation. And to adhere to the KCA Conflict Resolution Policy.
DISRESPECT
Athletes will agree to respect their opponents with the highest standards of Christian character and sportsmanship. Athletes and parents will also respond in word and behavior with respect towards all KCA coaches.
COMMITMENT
Athletes agree to commit their time and effort to their athletic team and acknowledge that it can be extremely demanding and requires a substantial commitment throughout the calendar year in order to be successful. Hard work more often than not produces great results!
PLAY TIME
Athletes agree that athletic ability or skills will not be the only deciding factor for any coach on any team and that character, leadership and dedication are equally important in deciding who plays. Coaches have the final say when an athlete plays.
DRESS CODE
Athletes agree to dress appropriately during practices, not exposing skin from the top of the shoulders to the top of the mid-thigh and not wearing excessively tight clothing. During games only the approved uniform will be worn unless given express permission from your coach. Parents accept ultimate responsibility for the dress of their students.
